The Founder's Story
A Life Built One Belt at a Time
Grandmaster Han's journey began in South Korea at age 10. His training carried him to Colombia, where he furthered his practice, and then to Los Angeles, where he instructed and taught classes for his own Grandmaster before taking over the school in 1992 and growing it to more than 300 members.

In 2000, he sold his California school and moved his family to Vancouver, Washington — to provide a better quality of life and a wonderful community for his children to grow up in. He opened Han's World Class Taekwondo Academy that same year. In 2022, he passed ownership to his son, Master Matthew Han, continuing a lineage now spanning more than 40 years.
Beyond the 7th Dan WT black belt, Grandmaster Han holds a 7th Dan in Tang So Do, a 4th Dan in Kumdo, and ranks in many other disciplines
